Long-term stable conductor contacting
The contact spring is made of high-quality spring steel. It ensures highest contact and conductor pull-out forces. And what is more: The push-in connection technology guarantees high-level gas-tight connections. This means that even condensation water atmospheres containing high levels of sulphur dioxide or salt mist do not lead to corrosion.
Direct plug-in technology without any tool
Thanks to the push-in connection technology, you don’t have to open the clamping points with a screwdriver for the plugging process. The conductor can be easily plugged into the clamping point by hand instead. This helps save time and money.
Push-in terminals are particularly suitable for solid conductors, multi-stranded conductors, and fine-wire conductors with crimped wire end ferrules.
Simple and wear-free plug-in process
A special benefit of push-in connection technology is the facilitated plugging of the conductors. They require half the push-in force compared to conventional spring-loaded terminals which helps prevent work fatigue in production.
Another benefit: Unlike blade terminals, you don’t have to observe the plug-in orientation. The round conductor can be very easily and conveniently plugged into the contact slot.
Removing the conductor is just as easy with a customary screwdriver.
Finger-safe design
International approval authorities are increasingly demanding the installation of finger-safe, i.e. protected against brush contact, electrical components in devices and machines in order to exclude accidents with electricity. This particularly applies to easily accessible components inside a product. When the cables are stripped correctly or when the recommended wire end ferrules are used, the 3120-N with push-in terminals offers a 100 % protection against brush contact in the terminal area.
Hazardous electrocution is completely prevented.
Vibration-proof and vibration-resistant conductor connection
Due to the high contact pressure of the contact spring, the connection is highly resistant against shock and vibration stress. In case of tensile stress, the pull-out force of the conductor increases even more, as the spring stretches and by this, keeps the conductor in place.
